First Lady Young furthered her education and was led to the state of North Carolina, to attend the historical Shaw University. There she found new adventures and experiences, far from the rural south, where she was accustomed to picking “peanuts and potatoes.” Always being a hard worker, First Lady Young occupied her time as the campus librarian.
Her life began to change and destiny struck when she met the love of her life, Keith Young. The two became one and God blessed their union with four wonderful children; April, Keith Jr., Kendall, and Kenthany, as well as a son-in-law; two daughter-in-laws, and five grandchildren.
Pastor Keith and First Lady Lutherine Young answered the call of God and founded the Vision For Souls Outreach Center Church in Mableton, Georgia on December 25, 1988 with only 10 members. Today, the “Vision For Souls Family Worship Center Church,” (as it is known) has grown to over eight-hundred (800) in membership, and has recently added a second location, Vision For Souls-West, in Douglasville.
First Lady Young works tirelessly in the ministry as the church’s Chief Administrator. She also holds fast the position in leading the “Women of Vision” into a new realm of excellence in ministry, as well as, the joys of being a total woman.
First Lady Young has been anointed to teach and preach the Gospel. Her wisdom, charisma, and graceful style have earned her a place of honor and respect among all those that come to know her. She is indeed an “Angel” sent from above.
